I Put Style First

When I was a teenager the Versus shop downtown used to be one of the hottest spots to stop by for shopping. However, I had never purchased a lot of items from the brand cause most of them were too loud for a shy guy like. Nonetheless I still own, after more than 10 years, some black and white sweaters and tees Calabria rooted label that I still cherish. That’s why when I saw this black and white geometric print backpack from the freshly revamped Versus collection by J.W. Anderson my heart literally skipped a beat.

Nowadays, in a world ruled by affordable fast fashion companies, accessories are what make you stand out in the crowd. Spending money in a pair of rare vintage Cartier Vitesse sunglasses is a very good option if you really want to distinguish yourself in style.

Based in Wynwood-Miami Downtown Art District, Del Toro keeps growing and expanding its brand all over the world through daily new releases. Here’s one of their latest best items: the grey camo suede alto chukkas, made in Italy by the best artisans using only high end quality suede.

Although colored soles are already old news, I cannot help but highlight to this new collabo between End Hunting Co. and Tricker’s. In my opinion every man should own at least a pair of the classic Stow Brogue Boots, even if they have beaming soles!

Still Good is a fresh-french clothing company founded by Clement Taverniti. I really like the simple yet refined design of this grey double jacket sweat. It looks both comfortable and dapper at the same time, which is a great combination when it comes to menswear.

If you are looking for a nice printed tee for the summer season but you don’t want anything too flashy, I would suggest to go for this “leaves and animals” printed t shirt from streetwear canadian label Raised By Wolves. 

Another recent collaboration that is giving me thrills is the A.P.C. x Nike 2013 footwear summer collection! Here’s my favorite piece, the tonal black Dunk Highs. The contrast between the dark suede uppers and the light brown gum rubber outsoles represents the clear clean touch of the french company at its best…absolutely a must have!

Being one of my favorite designers, it is not easy for me to be objective about what Thom Browne does. However, after we all got accustomed to his very neat and perfect fitting collections, the American designer decided to twist his style adding some punk inspired details, such as spikes and safety pins, to his items…to me he’s genial!
